Upcoming Workshops

We are excited to announce our FREE Spring Advocacy Storytelling Workshop Series with certified advocacy coach, Stacy Thrall! Check out the flier below and "Read more" for all the details. This workshop space is for people with lived experiences who want to learn how to share their stories and calls to action for positive change. Would you like help crafting that story so you can advocate for positive change in your life and community? Would you like to meet other advocates and changemakers who are passionate about making change? Attend our upcoming workshop! THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ADVOCACY STORYTELLING with Stacy Thrall Coaching This workshop series includes the following: Meet & Greet Tuesday April 15, 5:30 - 6:00pm - Virtual over Zoom Session One Tuesday April 22, 5:30 - 7:00pm - in person in Rutland An overview of the Fundamentals of a Well-Told Advocacy Story In this session you will learn the Five Qualities of a Well-Told Advocacy Story through interactive exercises, discussion, and using the 6 word reason. Session Two Tuesday April 29, 5:30 - 6:30pm, Virtual over Zoom First and second Qualities of a Well-Told Story: Focus and Positive A live workshop to provide a closer look at our first two qualities with real-time personalized coaching and interactive discussion. Exercises, templates, and advocate resources will be provided as applicable. Session Three Tuesday May 6, 5:30 - 6:30pm, Virtual over Zoom Third and Fourth Quality of A Well-Told Advocacy Story: Crafted and Framed A live workshop with real time coaching and discussion, to learn how to choose what to tell and how to right size your advocacy story. Session Four Tuesday May 13, 5:30 - 6:30pm, Virtual over Zoom Fifth Quality of a Well-Told Advocacy Story: Practiced Each person will have the opportunity to continue working on their advocacy story and/or practice their advocacy story and receive one-on-one coaching to review and receive feedback on advocacy story in preparation for our final workshop. Session Five Tuesday May 20, 5:30-6:30 pm, In-person for Advocates Showcase/Capstone Event! A 30-60 minute session to share their stories if people are comfortable. This capstone moment provides an opportunity to celebrate accomplishments and spark ideas to put stories into action. *Dinner will be provided by Social Tinkering as Session Five concludes from 6:30-8:00 pm in celebration of advocacy, community building, and connection. *Stacy Thrall will be provide email coaching support between all sessions. *We are here to provide support as possible in reducing any accessibility barriers folks may encounter in attending this workshop.
